SFD 2009 plan of action approved

SANA'A, Feb. 18 (Saba)- Headed by the Prime Minister and Board
Chairman of Social Fund for Development council (SFD) Ali Mujawar,
the council approved 2009 plane of action which includes 1,396
projects at a total cost of $ 188 million.

The council highlighted transparency adopted in preparing the plan
which aims at combating poverty and fulfilling goals of the national
strategy of basic and secondary education as well as improving
health services and other basic services in the country.

The plan also would offer support small businesses. The council
listened to a report over the administration performance of the fund
during the last year. According to the report, around 1,351 projects
have been achieved in different fields at sum of around $ 194
million.

Taiz came in the first rank of the benefiting governorates from the
projects of the fund and Ibb governorate was in second rank.
