Erdogan Announces New Sanctions On Kurdistan

BAGHDAD, Iraq (NINA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that his country would impose new sanctions on Kurdistan after the independence referendum. "We are imposing a ban on Kurdistan now, but if they do not return to their senses, the sanctions will increase," Erdogan told deputies from the ruling Justice and Development Party in Turkey, according to Western news agencies. Turkey's foreign minister said all options are on the table in response to the referendum in Kurdistan, including a joint operation with Iraq. The Turkish president also warned that all military and economic options are on the table. / End
