Former Egyptian FM urges Iran-Arabs talks
Dubai, Feb 18, IRNA - Former Egyptian foreign minister Ahmed Maher has called for positive dialogue between Iran and Arabs.
?When the US, the number one enemy of Iran, intends to hold direct
talks with the country, It will not be wise for Arabs to retain their
hostile attitude to Iran,? Maher was quoted as saying by Tuesday
edition of the UAE daily Al-Ittihad.
Maher said Iran is an important country in the region and its position
should be appreciated.
On the US President Barack Obama and his new role and different
relationships with Arabs, Maheri said, ?We should identify the US
policies so as to paly a positive role in the contemporary world.?
He added that new conditions have emerged in the US concerning Arabs
but ?I stress that the US will not solve any problem of us because we
should solve our problems ourselves.?
