Multi-million USD electronics factory inaugurated
Binh Duong (VNA) - The wholly Japanese-funded DDK Vietnam Co. Ltd commenced construction of a 25 million USD computer cable factory on February 17 in the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park II in the southern province of Binh Duong .
The 3ha factory is scheduled to be put into operation in October this year and is
expected to provide employment for 500 local workers.
DDK Vietnam is DDK Electronics Joint Stock Company's fourth subsidiary company, in
addition to a factory in Thailand and a further two in China .
Since January 2009, Binh Duong province has attracted 12 foreign direct invested
(FDI) projects, totaling 49 million USD. This has helped to raise the number of
FDI projects in the area to over 1,800, with total investment exceeding 11 billion
USD.
40 countries and territories currently invest in the province, the biggest being
Taiwan , the Republic of Korea , Japan , Singapore and Malaysia.-Enditem
