Majlis speaker talks with counterparts from Sudan, Niger on phone

Tehran, Feb 15, IRNA - Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani talked with his counterparts from Sudan and Niger by telephone on Saturday evening.

They talked about importance of Palestine situation and an
international conference which is to be held here in Tehran.
Referring to the situation in the Middle East region, Larijani called
Palestine a sensitive and important issue for Muslim countries and
underlined the necessity of continuation of support for the
Palestinian people.
The two officials talked about upcoming conference on Palestine to be
attended by Islamic countries parliament speakers and known political
characters from the region and the world and invited heads of
parliaments from Sudan and Niger to attend the meeting.
Sudanese Parliament Speaker Ahmad Ebrahim al-Taher and his counterpart
from Niger Mehaman Osman by appreciating Iran?s efforts and stances in
relation with Palestine, called the issue very important for Islamic
Ummah and underlined their own support for Iran?s parliament action in
this concern.
Mehaman Osman said that in current situation Muslim countries should
pay more attention to the Palestine issue and Islamic parliaments
should concentrate more on Palestine.
