Iranian Media Delegation Visits Iraq To Increase Media Cooperation Between The Two Countries
Baghdad, Iraq (NINA) - The Iranian media delegation visited the headquarters of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate.
The delegation was received by the president of the Union of Arab Journalists, head of Iraq Journalists Syndicate Muayyad Al-Lami, who accompanied the delegation on a tour on the IJS's sections.
"The visit of the Iranian media delegation to Iraq is to brief the Iraqi experience against terrorism," a member of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, the spokesman of the IJS, Nazem al-Rubaie said.
"During the visit, a protocol will be signed for joint cooperation between the two countries," Rubaie told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA)
"The visit of the Iranian media delegation to the country is an important part of the broad global openness of Iraq," Muayyad al-Lami said.
He added, "The visit of the delegation comes to congratulate the great victories against terrorism and to see the peace and security that prevails in Baghdad."
During the visit, an agreement will be signed for joint cooperation between the two countries. Lami said .
For his part, Musib Naimi, managing director of Al Wifaq newspaper confirmed that "The visit of the Iranian media delegation to Baghdad comes to increase media cooperation between the two countries,".
He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that "the visit is to take advantage of the joint experiences of both countries in the press and media and promote them to serve the two countries and peoples."
"The delegation's aim is to see the very important and useful Iraqi experience against terrorism, which is a rich experience to benefit positively."
"During the visit, a protocol on media cooperation will be signed and strengthen it through mutual visits to the media of the two countries to benefit from the common experiences of both countries and serve as a nucleus for wider cooperation of other countries," he said./ End
