North Korea FM: Iran plays important role in world

Beijing, Feb 14, IRNA - North Korea`s Foreign Minister Pak Ui-son has said Iran plays an
important role in international and regional developments and has
great impact on bringing peace to the region and the world as well.

The senior North Korean official made the remarks at a ceremony on the
occasion of 30th anniversary of Islamic Revolution, attended by tens
of foreign diplomats, envoys, charge d? affaires and ambassadors
residing in Pyongyang, North Korea.

Addressing the ceremony, Ui-son said the Islamic Revolution in 1979
was a historical event and a turning point in the Iranian nation?s
achievements.

Iran?s brave people have tackled challenges after the victory of the
Islamic Revolution that lead to the independence and great scientific
successes, including the recent launch of the home-made Omid (Hope)
satellite, under the leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic
Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Later, he hoped further success for the Iranian people.
