House Speaker Meets US Ambassador

BAGHDAD, Iraq (NINA) - Speaker Salim al-Jubouri stressed the importance of working to return all displaced people to their liberated cities, which need a great international effort to rehabilitate their destroyed areas because of the military operations and vandalism carried out by Daesh organization. "The liberation of the city of Mosul is an important step towards the regaining the last Iraqi areas controlled by the terrorist organization," Jubouri said during a meeting with US Ambassador to Iraq Douglas Silliman. "The next stage requires the consolidation of regional and international efforts to combat the terrorist organizations, which would destabilize the security and stability of Iraq and the region. " The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States of America and means of strengthening them to ensure the interests of both sides. The joint coordination was also discussed in the file of combating terrorism and the war against the terrorist organization, as well as the file of reconstruction of liberated areas and the return of displaced persons. For his part, the US ambassador expressed the United States' keenness to support Iraq in its fight against terrorism, stressing that the unity of Iraqis in confronting Daesh organization is an important step towards restoring stability and security in all regions of the country./ End
