26/11 attacks: Kasab remanded to police custody till Feb 26
Mumbai, Feb 13 (PTI) Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab, the
lone terrorist caught alive in the November 26 attack here in
India's financial capital, was Friday remanded in police
custody till February 26 by a local court in the Vile Parle
blast case.
Magistrate N N Shrimangale sent Kasab to 14-day police
custody for his involvement in the blast that took place in a
taxi on the western express highway in Vile Parle.
Kasab was not produced before the court due to
security reasons. Additional metropolitan magistrate N N
Shrimangale and additional public prosecutor E B Dhamal were
taken to an undisclosed location where Kasab is lodged.
Kasab, whose police custody in the murder of the
captian of Gujarat-based fishing vessel MV Kuber ended Friday,
has been booked in 12 cases by the city police. He is in
judicial custody in six other cases.
When asked by the magistrate, Kasab said he had no
complaints against the police, Dhamal said.
Over 160 people were killed and around 300 injured in
the attacks on November 26 by ten terrorists at locations like
the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Hotels Taj and Trident and
Nariman house.
Nine of the terrorists, allegedly belonging to
Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), were killed in the standoff with
