Baku, February 12 (AzerTAc). “The World Bank is willing to give financial support to
the Nabucco natural gas pipeline project if agreement is reached between the
consortium`s member countries”, World Bank Turkey Director Ulrich Zachau was quoted
by Reuters as saying.
The project is estimated to cost around €7.9 billion, one third of which will be
paid by shareholders and the rest by financial organizations. The total length of
the pipeline will be 3.3km, and it is expected to transport 31 billion cubic meters
of gas per annum.
