‘THE EU COULD ANNOUNCE A DECISION ON THE NABUCCO PROJECT DURING ITS ENERGY SECURITY SUMMIT’
Baku, 12 February (AzerTAc). The European Union could announce a decision on the
Nabucco gas project during its energy security summit to be held on May 7 in the
Czech Republic, EU`s Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs said.
According to him, the EU is backing the 3300-km, 7.9 billion euro Nabucco pipeline
that would carry Caspian gas across Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary to an
Austrian distribution hub.
