Trial of three suspects in charge of contacting with Israel resumed
SANA'A, Feb. 09 (Saba)- Penal Court resumed on Monday a trial of
three suspects in charge of contacting with Israel.
In the hearing, headed by the judge Muhsan al-Alwan, the court
agreed on the request of the defendants' lawyer to have a copy of
the case.
The prosecution showed evidences including an email sent by the
first suspect Bassam al-Hidari to the Israeli prime minister The
email read as, "We are the Islamic Jihad organization, we need your
support. And we are ready to do whatever you want. … You, the Jews,
keep your promises if you make them, though you are. "According to
the prosecution, the reply of the Israeli side was " "we are ready
to support you as our agents."
The court decided to adjourn the trial until next Monday.
The three suspects also were accused of publishing internet
statements under the name of Islamic Jihad Organization to inform
embassies and space channels that they committed attacks in Sana'a
and Hadramout, threaten to target several government of foreign
interests in the country
Al Haidari 25, Emad Ali Sa'ad Al Raimi 23, and Ali Abdullah Saleh
Mahfal, 24, were accused of contacting Israeli authorities to obtain
financial support to carry out terrorist acts in Yemen.
