Pak committee examines report on Indian dossier
Islamabad, Feb 9 (PTI) Pakistan's report on its probe
into the dossier provided by India into the Mumbai terror
attacks was Monday examined by a top level cabinet committee,
headed by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani before being
handed over to New Delhi.
The meeting of the Defence Committee of the Cabinet (DCC)
was attended among others by ISI chief Ahmad Shuja Pasha, the
three services chiefs, including Army Chief Ashfaq Parvez
Kayani.
Top officials of the Interior and Foreign ministry were
present at the meeting that was also attended by Defence
Minister Choudhury Ahmed Mukhtar.
Media reports had yesterday said that the government may
file cases against five Pakistanis, including Ajmal Amir
Kasab, the lone terrorist captured for the Mumbai attacks.
Reports have also said that the Interior Ministry's
report states that the attacks were planned not in Pakistan or
India but in a European country.
Gilani has said that the government will finalise its
reponse to the Indian dossier after the report is examined by
Defence Committee of the Cabinet.
The law ministry has already vetted the report and
forwarded it to the Prime Minister's Office. PTI RHL
