Iran exporting biotechnology medicines to 14 states

Tehran, Feb 9, IRNA - Iran exports its high quality biotechnology medicines to 14 world countries, Minister of Health Kamran Baqeri Lankarani said on Sunday.

?Medicines developed by Iranian experts enjoyed high international
standards so that they could be exported to other countries in
addition to the domestic consumption,? said the minister speaking to
reporters on the sidelines of a ceremony to honor a group of Iranian
experts working in the pharmaceutical sector.

Four new medicines produced by Iranian experts were also presented for
the first time during the ceremony.

The ceremony was held to praise major achievements made by Iranian
experts in pharmaceutical sector in the post-revolution era.

Iranians annually celebrate the victory anniversary of the 1979
Islamic Revolution during a ten-day period called the ?Dahe-ye Fajr?
(Ten-Day Dawn). The celebrations reach their climax this year on
February 10 which is the 30th anniversary of the Revolution?s victory.

Referring to the great achievements made by Iran and other nations in
the field of pharmaceutical activities, Lankarani said some
?multinational pharmaceutical companies expend lots of money to
destroy pharmaceutical industry of the developing countries, including
Iran, despite the high quality of their products.?
