Larijani, Gonzales discuss int'l issues

Madrid, Feb 9, IRNA - The visiting Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and former Spanish Prime Minister Felipe Gonzales here on Sunday evening discussed issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of a banquet hosted by Gonzales
in Larijani?s honor.

The latest regional and international developments, including Israeli
aggression on the Gaza Strip, as well as situation in Iraq and
Afghanistan were reviewed by the two officials.

Iran?s peaceful nuclear activities and Tehran-Madrid economic
cooperation were among other topics discussed in the meeting.

Larijani, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Madrid on
Sunday to meet senior Spanish officials.
