Parliament Speaker Meets Turkish Ambassador to Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Iraq (NINA) – House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri stressed the need to mobilize the efforts of all regional and international countries to counter the threat of terrorist organizations that are threatening the region and the world. Jubouri said during his meeting with the Turkish Ambassador Fatih Yildiz, according to a statement of his press office that "the next phase requires vigilance and caution to face any scheme that would affect the security and stability of the country." Jubouri pointed to "The importance of expanding and deepening relations between the two countries on all fields, as well as praising the effective support for Turkey in the file of relief for displaced people who have been forced to flee from the oppression of Daesh." For his part, the Turkish ambassador expressed his country's support for Iraq in its fight against terrorism and providing all kinds of assistance with regard to the file of displaced, while praising the efforts of the Speaker of Parliament to stabilize the country.
