Expansion of Iran-Iraq bilateral ties urged

Baghdad, Feb 8, IRNA - Iraqi National Security Advisor Muwafaq al-Rubaie here on Sunday
called for expansion of Tehran-Baghdad relations in all areas.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Supreme Leader's Advisor
Ali-Akbar Velayati.

During the meeting, Velayati congratulated the Iraqi nation and
government on the successful holding of the recent Iraqi provincial
councils elections.

Velayati, who arrived in Baghdad Saturday, reiterated that the mass
participation of Iraqi people in the elections was an indication to
their vigilance and sensitivity towards their country?s fate.
