Larijani: Iran eliminated scientific monopoly of powerful countries

Munich, Feb 8, IRNA - Iran?s Majlis Speaker said one major outcome of Iran?s scientific
achievement was the removal of the artificial classification of
science exercised by powerful countries.

Talking in a ceremony attended by Iranians residing in Munich,
Germany, on Saturday night, he said certain western countries tried to
bar other world countries from gaining access to latest trends and
developments in scientific arena by devising artificial
classifications for basic scientific domains but Iran managed to
challenge such a view and remove their monopoly of science.

Stressing that Iran has also resisted the political pressures put on
it due to its logical and principled stances, he said the hard work
Iranians have been doing during long years of sanctions has well paid
off.

Outlining Iran?s peaceful policies in the region, the speaker referred
to the resistance of certain European countries and the US against
Iran?s success in attaining scientific achievements and said they were
indulging in such baseless claims to justify their objection.

He also said Iranians residing in foreign countries were in fact a
great source of skill and support for the country.
