Iraqi Journalists Syndicate Celebrate The World Press Freedom Day

BAGHDAD, Iraq (NINA) - The Iraqi press family will celebrate the World Press Freedom Day next Wednesday with a large celebration organized by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate at its headquarters in Baghdad in cooperation with UNESCO and with Arab and international participation. The celebration will include speeches by the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, the President of the Union of Arab Journalists, Muayyad al-Lami and Director of the UNESCO Office in Iraq, Pors van Western, as well as reports, research and seminars on the safety of journalists and facing impunity and principles and values on freedom of press work and sacrifices of the journalists in order to consolidate these principles and values. The Iraqi press family is taking part in the celebration of the celebration of journalists in different countries of the world to celebrate this International Day, which falls on the third of May each year, which represents an opportunity to celebrate the basic principles of freedom of the press and to evaluate the freedom of press work and to stand against the parties trying to change the course of journalism, and also to remind those who sacrificed themselves in order to keep the word of truth as the framework of the press./ End
