Lavrov: Moscow Is Fully Prepared To Cooperate With America On Syria

BAGHDAD, Iraq (NINA) - Russia is fully prepared to cooperate with Washington on the Syrian issue, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said. Lavrov added during his meeting with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman al-Safadi in Moscow today, according to Russian media: "It is necessary to unite efforts between Russia and the international coalition, to combat terrorism in Syria. "We have heard the words of King Abdullah II that the key to an effective international effort in Syria is cooperation between Russia and the United States," he added. He continued, "I can assure you that we are fully prepared for this, and we expect a similar position from Washington."/ End
