AZERBAIJAN MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND ENERGY MEETS TURKISH PM`s ADVISOR
Baku, February 6 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev
met Thursday with Advisor to Turkish Prime Minister, member of the commission for
issues of industry, trade, energy, natural resources, science and technologies of
the Turkish parliament Taner Yildiz.
They exchanged views on current state of and prospects for bilateral cooperation
between the two countries.
Yildiz said the Turkish government attaches great importance to discussing with
Azerbaijan the outcomes of the Nabucco summit held recently in Budapest.
Both Aliyev and Yildiz stressed Azerbaijan and Turkey share the same position on the
issue of ensuring European energy security.
The Azeri Minister noted his country has great potential to increase gas
transportation to Turkey.
Yildiz in response said official Ankara highly praises the Azeri government`s
efforts in this regard.
Yildiz also informed Aliyev on ongoing negotiations between Turkey and Turkmenistan
on gas cooperation.
