Forest Law Revised in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- The Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK recently made public the revised Forest Law. The law, adopted on December 11, Juche 81 (1992), was amended and supplemented on several occasions. The newly revised law consists of five chapters and 48 articles which stipulate the issues arising in forestation, forest conservation, utilization of forest resource and guidance and control over forest management. The amendment and supplement of the Forest Law is of great significance in implementing the state's forest policy. -0-
