Conference on negotiations with WTO to be held in Sana'a
SANA'A, Feb. 05 (Saba)- Ministry of Industry and Trade in
collaboration with the Arab Administrative Development Organization
and Arab League will organize the 4th Arab conference on the future
of negotiations with World Trade Organization (WTO).
Speaking to the weekly 26 September, Industry and Trade Minister
Yahya al-Mutawakel said that the conference which will be tilted
"Challenges and Opportunities Facing the Members" will address the
problems and challenge facing the countries to joint WTO in addition
to reviewing the Arab efforts to boost up the inter-Arab trade .
The conference also will discuss the draft plan to strengthen the
capacity of Arab states in WTO's issues as well as evaluate the
progress in negotiations of Arab countries within the framework of
Doha work program.
Worth mentioning, about 12 Arab countries are members of WTO
organization while seven countries are still seeking to integrate in
the organization which are Yemen ,Syria ,Lebanon , Libya , Sudan ,
Iraq and Algeria.
