UNHCR values Yemen's care to follow up refuges' issues

SANA'A, Feb. 05 (Saba) - The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees valued
Yemen's constant care of following up refugees issues and sensationalism.

In the meeting, which gathered Minister of Human Rights Huda al-Ban with the UNHCR,
the two sides discussed means of making an urgent machinery for reducing the burdens
on Yemen's shoulders because of refugees flow .

The meeting focused on the significance of planning for dealing with the current
condition of refugees and activating the complaints committee established in 2008 as
well as the necessity of qualifying its members so as to form a new machinery to
look into the refuges' complaints.

The two sides also discussed the possibility of carrying out a field visit during
the coming phase to detainment places to check if there are any refugees exposed for
deportation and investigation in the legality of such procedure which does not
contradict Yemen's pledges in this frame.
