BJP committed to fight terror, says Advani
Vijayawada, Feb 5 (PTI) India's main opposition BJP is
committed to wipe out terrorism from the country if it cames
to power at the Centre, senior party leader and prime
ministerial candidate L K Advani said here in the
southeastern state of Andhra Pradesh Thursday.
The Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha (Lower House of
Parliament) also asked the government to act tough on
terrorism in the aftermath of the November 26 attacks in
Mumbai.
Talking to reporters here, Advani said people should
compare the performance of BJP-led NDA Government and that of
the Congress-headed UPA before casting their vote in the
upcoming Lok Sabha election.
He asked the youth, who make a major chunk of the
total population, to take part in the polls in large numbers
to strengthen democracy in the country.
Criticising the UPA Government, the leader said
unemployment has increased in the last five years, especially
in the unorganised sector.
"The government must take steps to generate employment
by taking up large infrastructure projects," he said.
