Yemeni laborers condition in KSA discussed
RIYADH, Feb. 05 (Saba) - Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Amat al- Razaq Hummad
has held talks in Riyadh with Saudi Minister of Labor Ghazi al-Qusaibi on Yemeni
laborers' issues in Saudi Arabia.
The talks discussed means of creating a permanent following-up mechanism to tackle
the Yemeni laborers problems.
The two ministers reviewed proposals related to resolving any problems may erupt
according to laborers' regulations in Saudi Arabia to boost cooperation relations
between the two countries in field of receiving Yemeni laborers and organizing that
by regulations guaranteeing the protecting the rights of Yemeni laborers and Saudi
employer.
Following the meeting, Hummad told Saba that the meeting comes in the framework of
boosting and activating mutual cooperation ties between the two countries' labor
ministries.
She pointed out that she has got acquainted with Yemeni laborers problems during her
meeting with Yemeni embassy and Yemeni community leaderships in Riyadh, noting that
all these problems were on the dialogue table with Saudi labor minister.
The Minister Hummad said that the Saudi Minister al-Qusaibi has accepted her
invitation to visit Yemen.
For his part, al-Qusaibi said that Yemeni laborers in Saudi Arabia have exceeded a
million, asserting that the Kingdom has no problems with Yemeni laborers.
He indicated that Yemeni laborers were dealt like Saudis, accenting that they have
given the priority among other nationalities.
