Eritrea continues to violate accords with Yemen

HUDAIDA, Feb. 05 (Saba) - Continuing violating accords signed with Yemen on not to
attack each other's fishing boats, Eritrean authorities have seized a new Yemeni
fishing boat in the international waters in the Red Sea along with 8 fishermen on
board.

The sea security in the province of Hudaida said in a note to the coastguard that
the boat and the fishermen were taken to the island of Muteih in Eritrea.

The note said the Eritrean authorities confiscated the boat and the fishermen's
properties on it. However, they deported the fishermen on another boat to the Midy
area in Hajjah province.

Lat last month, the Eritrean authorities seized four Yemeni boats along with the
fishermen on board.

Two days ago, Eritrea released two Yemeni livestock traders the Eritrean authorities
arrested in Addis Ababa on November in connection with having large sums of money.

Foreigners in any country have to have large sums of money through this country's
central bank.
