Japanese Interested To Learn Judicial System In Indonesia

JAKARTA, March 31 (Antara) - Japan Federation of Bar Association (Nichibenren) is interested to learn the judicial system and advocates in Indonesia. The president of Indonesian Advocates Congress (KAI) Tjoetjoe Sanjaya Hernanto said that he just received a courtesy visit from Gunma Bar Association from Japan. "The Japanese delegation of 10 people from the association came to Indonesia, because they were interested to learn the judicial system and advocates here," Hernanto stated in a written statement received by Antara on Thursday. Japanese people are aggressively investing in Indonesia. Thus, the information shared by their fellow Indonesian advocates is important to support their businesses in the country. Advocates in Japan are currently facing a big challenge in terms of the increasing number and competitiveness. In order to prove their competencies as professional advocates, Japanese are expected to provide best legal assistance and avoid violation of code of conduct. Japanese advocates expect to exchange knowledge on advancing justice in both countries, considering the long relation between Indonesia and Japan in the field of law practices. Japanese advocates also hope to see no more corruption cases and justice mafia practices in Indonesia, in order to create a better investment climate for foreign investors.
