Meshaal: Gaza victory reveals facts about Israel

Tehran, Feb 4, IRNA - Head of Hamas Political Bureau Khaled Mashaal said Tuesday that the resistance of Gaza people revealed many facts about the Israeli occupying regime to the world and now the illegitimate regime is on verge of collapse.

Meshaal said in a meeting with Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Broadcasting (IRIB) Ezatollah Zarghami that there were no military
equation between the belligerent parties in the 22-day war of Gaza,
adding, "Victory in the brutal invasion in a situation in which the
people of Gaza were surrounded and had no supporter, was a highly
difficult task which materialized thanks to God will and people's
resistance."

He said Gaza people sided with the resistance forces under all
conditions which shocked the Zionist army.

He added that Israel failed to achieve any of its goals in the savage
invasion and did not succeed in dictating its truce conditions on the
resistance.

Thanking the world nations for supporting the people of Gaza in the
face of Zionists' invasions, Meshaal said that the supports had a
great role in Gaza people's resistance against the Zionist enemy's
heavy attacks.

He also appreciated the world media, especially the IRIB for its
support of Gaza.

Zarghami, for his part, commended the Gazans for their resistance and
said Iranian media is ready to help the lawful Palestinian government
overcome its media problems.
