Al-Jaafari, His Kuwaiti Counterpart Discuss Iraq's Proposal On Syria's Return To The Meetings Of The Arab League

Baghdad (NINA) , 23 March : Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari discussed with the First Deputy Prime Minister, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah the Iraqi proposal on the return of Syria to take its seat in the meetings of the Arab League. "The meeting between Jaafari and Sabah, which took place on the sidelines of a meeting of the international coalition against terrorist gangs in Washington, DC, also discussed the files to be presented during the Arab summit in Jordan next week," a foreign ministry statement said. During the meeting, the two sides also discussed Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations and means of strengthening them to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples, in addition to increasing coordination in combating terrorism and eliminating terrorist gangs. The two sides also stressed the importance of continuing the exchange of visits between the officials of the two countries and activating the work of the technical committees to implement what was agreed during the meeting of the Joint High Committee in Baghdad during the past months./ End
