Yemeni-European dialogue meeting kicked off in Sana'a

SANA'A, Feb. 03 (Saba) - The Yemeni-European developmental dialogue
meeting was held on Tuesday in Sana'a.

The meeting was co-chaired by Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi and European Commission Mission's
Head Mr. Michele Cervone D'urso.

It discussed issues related to the Yemeni-European developmental
cooperation and ways of developing it and improving the foreign aid
to serve the developmental priorities in Yemen.

The meeting also reviewed the underway arrangements for holding the
consultative sessions between the government and donors to follow up
the outcomes of London Donor Conference held in November 2006.

The Minister al-Arhabi briefed on the European officials on results
of the mid revise of the third five-year plan, reviewing the donors'
commitments that have been fulfilled.

Al-Arhabi highlighted the significance of holding such meeting to
enhance the frames of joint cooperation between Yemen and EU's
countries, affirming that the developmental dialogue represents a
complement to the current political dialogue.
