REPRESENTATIVES OF AZERBAIJAN`S OMBUDSMAN OFFICE ATTEND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Baku, February 3 (AzerTAc). Representatives of Azerbaijan`s Ombudsman Office
attended the international conference entitled “Role of state bodies and civil
society in development of Ombudsman Institute” in Lipetsk city of Russia.
Activity of the state structures and civil society in protection of human rights,
mutual relations of ombudsman institutes, combat against tortures were in the focus
of event.
Azerbaijani representatives told of reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan in
protection of human rights adding that Azerbaijan attaches high significance to
establishment of effective cooperation with the state structures, civil society and
the international organizations.
They also met with Azerbaijani Diaspora in Lipetsk and keen on their problems.
