Supreme Leader: Bullying powers feel humiliated

Tehran, Feb 1, IRNA - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Sunday that the bullying powers who once were proud of their absolute power are now feeling humiliated.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with a group of freed
prisoners who were in the captivity of despotic regimes.

Comparing the current status of Zionist regime and the US government
with the situation that existed 20 years ago, Ayatollah Khamenei said
they are now experiencing weakness and gradual annihilation worldwide.

Signs of promised victories by Almighty God have been revealed more
than before, said the Supreme Leader.

Referring to the bitter and arduous period in captivity, the Supreme
Leader said, "You made a big achievement through your resistance and
patience to enlighten the world Muslims and every second of your
resistance would be of prime importance to Almighty God."

Those who dedicated themselves to the path of God and His divine
prophets are invincible, underlined the Supreme Leader adding that as
God bestowed patience and resistance to Islamic combatants in Lebanon
and Palestine and rewarded them with triumph in the south of Lebanon
and Gaza, other believers who dedicate themselves to the path of God
will also taste victory, said Ayatollah Khamenei.

At the meeting, a number of freed prisoners from Lebanon and Iraq as
well as other freed prisoners from other countries and their families
were present.
