Preparatory meetings for GCC health ministers kicked off



SANA'A, Feb. 01 (Saba) - The preparatory meetings of the executive
authority for Health Ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council initiated
here on Sunday.

The meetings are to arrange for the 66th round of the GCC Health
Ministers Council set to be convened next Tuesday.

The preparatory meetings will address in two days the whole
arrangements and health topics that concern the GCC's states.

Opening the meetings, Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul
Karim Rase'a highlighted that the several health issues are on the
top of the round's agenda including primary health care, medicine
central registration and combating smoking.

He pinned hopes that the executive authority meetings would come out
with a vision that enable the GCC Health Council to realize the
desired goals.

The Director-General of the GCC Health Ministers Council Dr. Tawfiq
Khoja made clear that the executive authority members have prepared
a full agenda, noting that the arrangements for the coming round
have begun early at different levels.
