Sydney FC and coach Kosmina part company

After much speculation Sydney FC and coach John Kosmina have parted company after a
rocky A-League season in which the Sky Blues failed to make the finals for the first
time.
The former Socceroo had a year to go on his contract but the club is about to come
under the control of new owners.
"Sydney FC and John Kosmina have today mutually agreed to a termination of the
Sydney FC coach's contract, effective immediately," the club said in a statement
released on Saturday afternoon.
"Sydney FC would like to thank John for his contribution to the club over the last
15 months, said Sydney FC CEO Stefan Kamasz.
"We would like to wish John all the best in his future endeavours.
Sydney FC will make an announcement in the coming days regarding the coach for the
2009/10 A-League season."
The club finished fifth this season, two points outside the top four, after posting
seven wins, five draws and nine losses.
