Iraqi Government Signed With General Electric Company A Contract To Build Power Stations In Dhi Qar And Muthanna

BAGHDAD / NINA / The Iraqi government and the General Electric Company signed the contract to build power generation stations in the provinces of Dhi Qar and Muthanna.
Information Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, said in a statement, "the contract to build stations generating electricity in the provinces of Dhi Qar and Muthanna has been signed with a total capacity of 1500 MW and an average of 750 MW to each station and at a total cost of $ billion and 49.4 million dollars " .
The statement added, "through the contract, jobs for Iraqis will also be provided and the company pledged to maintain the existing plants, which helps to provide two thousand megawatts."
