Asia-Pacific Regional Internet Seminar Held

Pyongyang, January 18 (KCNA) -- An Asia-Pacific regional internet seminar on the subject of "General Kim Jong Un and Korea Today" was held in Pakistan between January 8 and 10 under the joint sponsorship of Asia-Pacific regional and Pakistani national preparatory committees for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu. On display on the front wall of the venue of the seminar were portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il. Present there were figures of the international, regional and country-by-country preparatory committees for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu and those of Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, New Zealand, Japan, UK, Switzerland and other countries. The participants laid a floral basket before the portraits of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and bowed to them. Zabed Ansari, secretary general of the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association who doubles as co-secretary of the Asia-pacific regional preparatory committee for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu, made a keynote report. The reporter praised His Excellency Kim Jong Un, perfectly possessed of the idea, leadership and the personality of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on the noblest level, for performing great exploits which will take others scores of years at an ordinary pace during such a short time reflecting a moment of history. The reporter said that it was the great honor and happiness for not only the Korean people but also the world progressive peoples to hold Kim Jong Un, another great man of Mt. Paektu, in high esteem. Introduced at the seminar were congratulatory letters from African, American and Arab regional preparatory committees. Rachmawati Soekarnoputri and Peter Woods, co-chairpersons of the international preparatory committee for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu, Neil Fitzgerald, co-chairman of the Oceania regional preparatory committee, Songchit Pullarp, chairman of the Thai preparatory committee, Raymond Ferguson, national secretary general of the Australia-DPRK Association for Friendship and Culture, and other figures made speeches. An action program of the regional preparatory committee was read out. A letter to respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar. -0-
