Senior Iranian Official To NINA: We Will Continue To Protect Holy Sites In Iraq In Post-Daesh

BAGHDAD / NINA / The head of Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy at of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Alaeddin Boroujerdi announced that his country will continue to protect and support the holy sites in Iraq for the post-Daesh.
Boroujerdi said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "Tehran believes that fighting Daesh needs to radical combat, and must eliminate the roots of terrorism and extremism in all areas without exception."
He made it clear that "Daesh did not arise and exist in the region for its own sake, because there are countries of the region existed Daesh and trained and financed its members and provided them with all the aid."
He added: In light of this and besides fighting Daesh militarily, there must be political negotiations with the countries that support Daesh to stop supporting and funding Daesh, "noting that" Iran is confident that the strong will enjoyed by the Iraqi government, military, and the Iraqi people will eliminate the roots of Daesh and end it soon.
