Cairo refuses permit for offloading Iranian aid consignment

Cairo has officially opposed the offloading of Iranian humanitarian
aid consignment from a ship destined for Gaza as assistance for the
oppressed people.

"Efforts by the Organization of the Islamic Conference Secretariat to
have the consignment in Iranian ship transporting humanitarian aid for
the people of Gaza discharged remained futile due to opposition by
Egyptian officials and unfortunately, Egyptian officials have
officially informed the secretariat of their position," a source in
Jeddah said.

The source said the immoral act of the Egyptian government in
preventing the shipment of humanitarian aid to the oppressed Gaza
people should be interpreted as a gesture taken in line and in
cooperation with the Qods-occupying regime to exert pressure on the
Gaza residents.

He added that the move is also clear collaboration to implement the
policies of Zionists to stop non-delivery of essential aid to Gaza to
relieve the suffering of the population.
