Abadi: It Was Agreed To Withdraw Turkish Troops From Ba'shiqah And Ankara Pledged To Respect Iraq's Sovereignty

Baghdad / NINA / Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said Iraq is keen to establish better relations with neighboring Turkey.
Abadi welcomed the visit of his Turkish counterpart Ben Ali Yildirim in the news conference and stressed Iraq's desire to establish better relations with Turkey. "
Abadi confirmed that it was agreed to Iraq's request for the withdrawal of Turkish troops from Ba'shiqah camp, adding that Ankara has pledged to respect the sovereignty of Iraq.
Abadi said "Iraqi forces have achieved great victories, and Daesh on its way to final defeat"
For his part, Turkish Prime Minister Ben Ali Yildirim said Turkey will continue to cooperate with Iraq in all areas.
He said at the joint news conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Haider al-Abadi today, "We will not allow any action that threatens Iraq's sovereignty and territorial integrity."
