Iraq , Jordan Discuss Re-open Trebil Border Crossing And Establish a Free Industrial Area On The Border

BAGHDAD / NINA / Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Fadel Nabi discussed with the Minister of Commerce and Industry of Jordan financial relations between Iraq and Jordan and ways of developing them. According to a ministry's statement "the two sides discussed, during the meeting, the project of open Trebil border crossing and set up industrial free zone on the border between the two countries to attract industrial investment, and also discussed ways to facilitate trade to deepen economic and trade relations between Iraq and Jordan." On the other hand, Nabi met this morning the German ambassador in Baghdad and discussed with him steps of signing the Framework Agreement between Iraq and the Federal Republic of Germany. During the meeting, Nabi said that "the Ministry of Finance is doing the procedures required for the signing of the agreement after the adoption of the general budget for 2017, adding this agreement will contribute to provide a loan for the reconstruction of liberated areas, an amount of up to 500 million Euros. / End
