Jaafari To Acting Azerbaijan's Ambassador : Iraq Seeks To strengthen Relations With The World To Confront Common Dangers

BAGHDAD / NINA / Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari said that Iraq is seeking to strengthen its relations with various countries of the world; to activate common interests and face common dangers. The Foreign Ministry said in a press statement, "Jaafari received a copy the credentials of Acting Ambassador of Azerbaijan Embassy in Baghdad Ramiz Gvarov, and during the ceremony, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways of strengthening them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples." Jaafari expressed wishes to Gvarov success in his diplomatic duties in Baghdad, expressed the readiness of the Foreign Ministry to provide all the support for the success of the diplomatic mission task, welcoming Azerbaijan's decision to reopen its embassy in Baghdad; because of its significant impact on the deepening of relations between the two countries. For his part, Acting Azerbaijan Ambassador confirmed his country's support for Iraq in all fields, stressing that he would do all his efforts and invest opportunities to increase trade and investment in Iraq, and activate the agreements signed between the two countries. Ramiz Gvarov also delivered an official invitation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan to Jaafari to visit Baku in the coming period in the context of strengthening joint cooperation between Baghdad and Baku. / End 5
