OPEC Expects a "Historic" Agreement With Non-Members On An Output Cut

BAGHDAD / NINA / OPEC predicted signing a historic agreement between the non-member states on reducing oil production. The Secretary General of the Organization Mohammad Barkindo said he "expects the signing of a total of 12 countries from non-members of OPEC with OPEC to help reducing oil production and raise prices in the first plan of its kind since 2001". He added, in a press statement today before the meeting "for countries not members of OPEC, the reduction will be 600 thousand barrels per day or more," noting that "this meeting is historic, and will strengthen the global economy and help some of the members of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development in achieving rates of targeted inflation. " It is noteworthy that members and non-members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries "OPEC", hold a meeting in Vienna today to discuss the accession of non-Member States in the Organization for its decision to reduce the world's oil production, of 1.0008 million bpd, in a attempt by members and non-member states to counter declining ongoing for more than two years in the oil price. / End
