Party leader wishes Hanoians happy New Year
Hanoi (VNA) - Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh has extended his New Year greetings to all Hanoians on the occasion of the approaching traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.
Meeting with the local authorities, representatives of mass organisations and
religious dignitaries on Jan. 23, he praised the capital city's efforts to record
high results last year, particularly in curbing inflation, obtaining high growth
rates, improving people's living conditions and reducing the poverty rate.
Manh told the local authorities to pay attention to ensuring a safe and happy new
year festival for all.
He also urged them to start on the implementation of the yearly targets right at
the beginning of the year, aiming to maintain growth pace and ensure the social
