Denpasar Mayor Launches 'Online Cooperatives Clinic'

DENPASAR, Bali, Oct 26 (Antara) - Denpasar Mayor Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra launched a rating program to support the existing 'Online Cooperatives Clinic,' which is a smart city-based scheme. "The program is aimed to ease, strengthen and speed up the services for urban citizens," he said in Denpasar, Bali, on Tuesday. He further explained that the rating scheme, which can be done through the Online Cooperatives Clinic, was launched in collaboration with PT. Telkom. The application's features were explained in detail by PT. Telkom Denpasar's General Manager I Gusti Bagus Ranuh. The application is expected to ease the administrative affairs within the cooperatives' legal board and understand the cooperatives' welfare. The mayor said that the Online Cooperatives Clinic provides the people with easier access to services, as part of the efforts to actualize the 'Smart Economy' concept, which is a part of the Smart City. The online network-based function can now be accessed through Android operating systems. He hopes that the application can also intensify the ability to manage the cooperatives to embody the people's economy. "This software can be very beneficial in increasing the ability to manage cooperatives. It also quickly detects any laxity in the management," he added. Mantra also planned for the application to be adopted by the Village Credit Boards and market managements in Denpasar and to be introduced to cooperatives and supervisors as early as possible through technical coaching and training. Meanwhile, Erwin Surya Dharma Sena, Head of Denpasar's Cooperatives and Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Agency, said that the application allows cooperative managers to submit their financial reports by simply uploading them online, thereby cutting out the hassles of having to come down to the agency's offices themselves. From there, the reports will then be evaluated through the software with a default system that has previously been set up. There are also evaluation features that refer to the regulations set by the Cooperatives and Small Medium Enterprises Minister. This makes the online cooperatives evaluation program a healthy, sufficient, controlled and priceless one. "The most important part is that it will ease the performance of the cooperatives, while facilitating data exploration and partnerships with third parties," he remarked.
