SNACC launches program of microfinance
SANA'A, Jan. 21 (Saba)-Supreme National Authority of Combating
Corruption (SNACC) launched on Wednesday a program of
microfinance.
According to the authority, the objective of the
program is to enhance capacities of the civil society and its
participation in decision making.
The SNACC Chairman Ahmed al-Anisiconsidered the program as step in creating real
cooperation which
aims at integrate efforts of combating corruption.He called on all
to cooperate with the authority to boost culture of truthfully and
transparency in the society, pointing out to the obstacles facing
the authority.
He said that the authority has work to achieve its goals.For his part, the head of
the civil society sector at the
authority Azeddin al-Asbahi affirmed impotent role of the civil
society to spreading culture of combating corruption and principles
of transparency and truthfully.
The resident director of the National Democratic Institute praised efforts of Yemen
in combating
corruption, pointing out to the law of combating corruption and
financial disclosure as well as establishment of the SNACC.
He highlighted efforts of the SNACC in creating partnership with the civil society
to combat corruption and strengthen principles of the
transparency in the society.AH
