Women's marathon team come third in South Asia
Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam women's marathon team currently ranks third in the South
Asian region after Nguyen Thi Dong ran second at the Mumbai leg of the Standard
Chartered Marathon on Jan 18.
Dong finished the 42.16-kilometre run in 3:7:21 at the tournament, the global
biggest marathon competition.
Also at the Mumbai leg of the event compatriot Nghiem Xuan Chung finished forth
after 2:39:22, securing sixth place for men's team among the 10 regional nations
taking part in the tournament.
Mumbai Marathon is the last round before the final takes place in Hong Kong on
Feb 8. Prize money for the tournament is worth totally 1 million USD.-Enditem
