Iran-Oman fisheries cooperation reviewed

An Omani delegation presided by the country?s deputy minister of
fisheries, Hamad bin Sad Al-Oufi, has traveled to Iran in line with
expanding cooperation in fisheries sector.

According to a report by Public Relations Department of Fisheries
Organization, the visiting Omani team reviewed cooperation in the
fields of fishing, trade of acquatics and researches on adopting
suitable approaches for broadening collaboration.

They met with a number of Iranian officials including head of
Fisheries Organization, his deputies and head of Fisheries Research
Institute and discussed their countries? capabilities in the field.

The two sides underlined the need to adopt coordinated policies on
maintaining joint acquatic reservoirs and exchange views and investment.

The Omani team which arrived in Iran at the invitation of Iran?s
Deputy Minister of agriculture Jihad Vahid Zarei was keen on using
Iran?s experience on fisheries and Iranian companies? investment in
the Arab county.

Omani deputy minister of fisheries invited Zarei to visit the
country?s capabilities in the field of fisheries.
