Yemen to sponsor many of Gaza orphans: PM says

SANA'A, Jan. 19 (Saba) - Prime Minister Ali Mujawar affirmed here on
Monday that the government would sponsor a great number of the Gaza
orphans in coordination with the Orphan Development Corporation
(ODC).

Speaking in the opening of the sponsorship of Gaza orphans campaign
organized by the ODC, Mujawar said that the government would
continue its airlift of emergency aid to the Palestinians in the
Gaza Strip.

"In spite of our modest economic conditions, assistance to our
brothers in Gaza will never stop" the Premier said, highlighting the
real care the political leadership shows in this regard.

He made reference to the several meetings, conferences and
initiatives made under the Yemeni auspice, citing that "Yemen has
hosted all the Palestinian factions for long times and still does
with no bias to one party over the other".

Mujawar said the Palestinian case has been and still is one of the
Yemeni concerns in all international events, praising the courage of
the Palestinian people and its resistance in confronting the
criminal Israeli brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The early preparation of Israel for this brutal aggression confirms
that the issue is not to eliminate the resistance or its missiles,
but more than that to develop a formula and a new map of the region
serve the Israeli interests of expansion, Mujawar said.

He added that despite the declaration of the cease-fire in the Gaza
Strip, Israel forces are still there that "will enhance the return
of aggression at any moment and under any pretext", claiming for a
complete withdrawal of the Israeli forces as a main condition for
stabilizing the situation in Gaza.

He called on the Arab leaders and the UN Security Council to take up
their responsibilities in ensuring the safety and protection of the
Palestinian people in Gaza and the rest of the Palestinian
territories from Israel, adding that instability in Gaza would have
serious repercussions on the entire region.

Prime Minister emphasized the necessity to reunion the Palestinian
rank and to strengthen the Islamic and Arab unity to face the
challenges encountering the security and stability of the region and
the world.
