Yemen discusses cooperation areas with WHO


SANA'A, Jan. 19 (Saba) - Minister of Public Health and Population
Abdul Karim Rase'a met here on Monday with a medical delegation to
fight cancer diseases from the World Health Organization (WHO).

The meeting dealt with future cooperation aspects between the Health
Ministry and the organization to fight cancer diseases.

The delegation voiced readiness to help the ministry in fields of
qualifying the medical cadre as well as managing and operating
fighting cancer units.

In return, the minister praised the ideas and proposals of
cooperation presented by the delegation, assuring that the ministry
is ready to offer all kinds of support to enable WHO and its health
institutions helping in fighting cancer diseases.

The WHO delegation chaired by the Organization of Director General
of Public Health in the Middle East Dr. Haifa Madi and the
membership of Chairman of the Kuwaiti Hayat Committee for cancer
patients care and Dr. Sima Bie from of Snjud Institute to fight
cancer in the United States.
